MVA Completes the Acquisition of Wilbur Smith Associates Limited (Hong Kong)
MVA Hong Kong Limited (“MVA” or the “Company”) announces today that it has successfully completed the acquisition of the Hong Kong business of Wilbur Smith Associates Limited (“WSA Hong Kong”) from Wilbur Smith Associates Inc. International, a subsidiary of CDM Smith Inc., in early January 2014, following receipt of the required regulatory approvals. The acquisition marks the next step of MVA in developing and expanding the company’s consolidated position as one of the largest traffic and transport consultancy firms in Asia.
WSA Hong Kong is a regional consulting firm specializing in transport planning, traffic engineering, civil engineering, economics, management and operations of public infrastructure and transportation. WSA Hong Kong began providing services in Hong Kong in 1965 and had carried out numerous benchmark transportation planning studies, guiding the development of Hong Kong’s transport infrastructure. To this end, WSA Hong Kong has been involved in the design and construction of a diverse range of projects ranging from highways, site formation and infrastructure, piers and marine works.
