Transport Feasibility Study At Pantai Indah Kapuk 2
SYSTRA MVA to prepare the transport feasibility study to evaluate the public transport planning elements for the concept masterplan at PIK2. To advise on the appropriate technology type and routing to maximize site coverage and potential ridership.
PIK2 is a 1,000Ha city being planned to the north west of Jakarta. There will be a 100Ha CBD, residential, educational and industrial uses within the site.
The project involved the review of masterplan proposals and identification of potential people mover systems with appropriate passenger carrying capacities and technology types within defined envelopes.
SYSTRA MVA have been instrumental in assessing the future development travel demands, travel patterns and PT mode capacity sizing requirements. A target of 60% PT mode split for the site has driven the design of a flexible and resilient system of public transport for the site.
Using models to provide quantifiable analysis of the site, a PT strategy has been derived to serve the development and provide connections to Jakarta and the nearby Soekarno Hatta International Airport of demand scenarios (low/base/high).
