PL182 Conduct Of Household Travel Surveys
The project mainly comprises gathering information on the travel patterns of 70,000 Singapore residents for the period 2016-2019.
SYSTRA MVA will lead the overall study which includes data collection, data analysis and reporting of travel trends and characteristics. The surveys will be conducted through a mix of traditional face-to-face Household Interview Surveys (HIS) and the recruitment of respondents to a Mobile Travel Survey (MTS) which will be a smartphone app tracking and recording the travel pattern of respondents.
The major phase of the works will be in 2016 and will involve survey questionnaire design, sampling methodology, piloting and 15,000 respondents for the Household Interview Surveys and recruiting 30,000 respondents for the Mobile Travel Surveys. In addition, surveys of 5,000 Mobile Travel Survey respondents will be conducted in each of the years 2017-2019.
The study is part of a regular ongoing Comprehensive Travel Survey carried out in Singapore and SYSTRA MVA is proud to have been involved in the travel analysis for the previous three studies in 2012, 2008 and 2004.
