C1006 Cross Island Line East (CRLE)
SYSTRA MVA were commissioned to undertake the temporary traffic diversion and associated TIAs for Contract C1006, awarded to WSP and covers a route length of approximately 11.5km and serving between Pasir Ris and Punggol.
The proposed Cross Island Line East (CRLE) is the eastern leg of the 56km long Cross Island Line (CRL). It is an underground MRT line with 8-car trains serving Changi Airport, Loyang, Pasir Ris, Hougang, Ang Mo Kio, Bright Hill, and includes a spur line which services Punggol. CRLE is approximately 35.5km long and comprises 19 underground stations and a main depot.
Package C1006 is 11.5 km long with 7 stations, 2 of which are interchange stations, 5 typical stations and 1 cripple siding. The entire route is constrained making the TTM scheme challenging. There are TIAs required for areas which require road closure and where the new line links with existing MRT.
