Ian McGovern named Chief Executive Officer of MVA in Asia
May 7th, 2012 – Hong Kong – Ian McGovern has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of MVA in Asia, responsible for all its operations in Asia.
Ian McGovern has over 20 years of international experience in transport development sectors across various Asian countries. He has worked in international multi-disciplinary engineering firms prior to joining MVA. Ian has worked and lived in Afghanistan, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Thailand, India and Malaysia and has extensive project experience in China, Vietnam, Mongolia, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal.
In 1992, Ian graduated with a degree in civil engineering from the Imperial College, University of London, UK. He subsequently acquired his MBA from the City University in London in 2003.
The appointment of Ian McGovern will strengthen MVA’s management team as the company pushes for expansion throughout the Asia Pacific region with a strong focus in South East Asia, India and Mainland China.
MVA Asia’s previous CEO, Fred Brown, will remain as an advisor and Honorary Chairman of MVA.
