MVA won the Green Building Award 2019 – Merit Award in New Buildings Category for Phase III Campus Development for OUHK

The Green Building Award 2019 Award Presentation Ceremony was held on 5 November 2019. MVA, as the Lead Traffic Consultant, led by the Architect, Ronald Lu & Partners, was awarded with the Merit Award - New Buildings Category: Project Under Construction and/or Design - Institutional Building, Phase III Campus Development for The Open University of Hong Kong.

‘Inspiring the Next Generation • Excellence in Sustainable Built Environment’

Congratulations for the opening of the new OUHK campus in early November 2020, now named, “The OUHK Jockey Club Institute of Healthcare” (IOH), it is operating to support an adequate supply for the next generation of healthcare professionals to address community needs.

MVA was part of the project team providing traffic and transport engineering solutions to facilitate the Master Layout Planning and Design of the development. Our services included car parking layout design and the develop vehicular and pedestrian circulations for the campus development.

The 13-storey new building is well designed and equipped with modern learning facilities and spacious student amenities on top of its elegant curtain wall outlook with contemporary architectural design. The new campus provides an ideal teaching and learning environment for all students and staff of the University with a total gross floor area of 18,680 square meters. It comprises not only professional laboratories and centres, but also a wide range of spacious and state-of-the-art amenities, such as conference hall, sports and wellness centre, lecture theatres, academic concourse, open terrace, learning commons, mini café, etc. for all OUHK students and staff.
