Congratulations On the Opening of Tuen Ma Line Phase 1

Tuen Ma Line Phase 1 of Shatin to Central Link opened on 14th February 2020

Tuen Ma Line Phase 1 of Shatin to Central Link opened on 14th February 2020, commencing services at three new stations including Hin Keng Station, the expanded part of Diamond Hill Station and Kai Tak Station with modification of the 9 existing Ma On Shan Line stations with 8-car train operation. The Tuen Ma Line is an extension of the Ma On Shan Line (MOL) from Tai Wai to the West Rail Line (WRL) via East Kowloon, while Tuen Ma Line Phase 1 is the section between Wu Kai Sha Station and Kai Tak Station. The Tuen Ma Line will link up the MOL and WRL including several interchange stations between existing railway lines, which will be the longest railway line in Hong Kong running a total of 56 km with 27 stations.

SYSTRA MVA is proud to have been appointed as the traffic & transport consultant to undertake the Detailed Design for Consultancy Agreement C1101 – MOL Modifications and Hin Keng Station (HIK) and the Consultancy Agreement C1102 Consultancy Agreement (C1102) to develop the design of the Lion Rock Tunnels (LRT) and the Diamond Hill Approach Tunnels.

  • Transport planning for design of station pedestrian facilities during normal operation and emergency evacuation.
